Renowned Ugandan media personality Isaac Daniel Katende, popularly known as Kasuku, is mourning the loss of his grandmother after she passed away on Friday night, according to posts shared by the influencer on social media and widely circulated reports from local news outlets.
In a heartfelt announcement on his WhatsApp status and social media, Kasuku described the death of his grandmother as a deeply personal blow, saying he feels as if “his entire life is shattered” and that he does not know how he will “navigate life without her”.
Family members and friends confirmed that the elderly woman had been receiving medical treatment after her health deteriorated in recent weeks, and was connected to support machines before her condition worsened. She was pronounced dead on Friday, sources said.
Details about funeral arrangements remain limited, with Kasuku and his family expected to provide further information once plans are finalised.
Within hours of the announcement, social media users and followers of Kasuku expressed condolences and shared messages of support. Many noted the close bond the entertainer had often spoken about between himself and his grandmother, who was described in earlier interviews as a dearly loved figure in his life.
